GreenMan Technologies collects, processes and markets scrap tires in whole, shredded or granular form. Co.'s tire processing operations are paid a fee to collect, transport and process scrap tires in whole or two inch or smaller rubber chips which are sold. Co. collects scrap tires from local, regional and national tire stores; tire manufacturing plants; and illegal tire piles being cleaned-up by state and other governmental entities. The tires collected are processed and sold as tire-derived fuel used in lieu of coal by pulp and paper producers, cement kilns and electric utilities; as a substitute for crushed stone in civil engineering applications; or as crumb rubber (rubber granules).
