| CarMax is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is engaged as a retailer of used cars. In addition, Co. also provides a selection of used vehicles at fixed prices. Meanwhile, Co.'s sales process is designed to allow consumers the opportunity to shop for vehicles the same way they shop for items at other big-box retailers. Further, Co. also purchases, reconditions, and sells used vehicles as well as providing its customers with a range of related products and services, including the financing of vehicle purchases through CarMax Auto Finance.
