Origin Agritech is a seed companies in China, specializing in the research, development, production, sale and distribution of hybrid crop seeds in China, including corn seeds, cotton seeds, and rice seeds. Co. conducts its business operations mainly through Co.'s PRC Operating Companies. Beijing Origin, PRC Operating Company, initial operations consisted of licensing existing proprietary hybrid corn seeds for development and production and commercial distribution of its first hybrid corn seed, YuYu 22. Co. develops, produces and sells both internally developed and licensed crop seeds in China, but Co. also continues to rely on licensed seeds from others.
